THE LADY, OR THE TIGER?

He turned, and with a firm and rapid step he walked across then empty space. Every heart stopped beating, every breath was held, every eye was fixed immovably upon that man. The man walked towards the door on the right and stopped. Just as he was about to turn the doorknob, he hesitated. He knew that the princess loved him very much but could it override her jealousy? The young man took a deep breath and opened the door. The man opened his eyes but nothing came out. He took a look back at the princess and saw her dazed and confused. Just than, the king stood up and said,"You have proofed your innocence. I shall let you marry my daughter on the account that she love you so much. With that, he left. Tears of joy ran down both the man and the princess faces as the man ran up to hug the princess.

  1. Great vocabulary! Unexpected ending there! The king is actually portrayed as a fair and just person who would do anything for his daughter's happiness. However, the man seemed to be hesitant and did not trust the princess' instruction. Still, great ending!

  2. I am very surprised with your ending as i was totally different from what i had expected. It turned out that the King was actually not a barbaric person. He loved his daughter deeply and could not bear to see her daughter suffer. However, it was mentioned in the story that the king wanted the young man to either get married with another lady or die.
